ReplyDeleteWhile I realize that maintaining a site like this takes a lot of work, it would be really nice if the expired coupons were removed. Every couple of months I get to go Stateside so I come here for a Joanns coupon, generally to find that it's several weeks expired - today is Sept. 1 and the current coupon expired on August 14. I sure do appreciate them when they're current, but it's getting a bit old to find expired coupons.

They seem to be changing their coupon system. I have noticed in the store the flyers/sales papers have coupons for two or 3 weeks out. You have to SAVE THOSE FLYERS to use for later! The one I got 3 weeks ago has coupons I can use now until the end of September and yesterday I picked up a sales book that has coupons for October.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be that I could walk in and grab a 40% or 50% coupon at the door to use at checkout, but not anymore. I think they realized that some of us figured out that it's best to get large yardages of fabric with it and perhaps they were losing money.
Looks like they're changing their coupon system. Even their email newsletter no longer contains them. :( How absolutely irritating. Time to go back to Hobby Lobby.

ReplyDeleteWalmart DOES accept Joann and Michael's coupons on craft items only, but you have to have to bring the entire newspaper ad insert for them to accept it. I haven't tried a printout off the websites but I'm sure there would be issues with that.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to throw it out there that Joanns will take several coupons at once however, they must be different coupons to be used at the same time. You can use the others if they are duplicates but they cannot be in one transaction. Example- you have 5 copies of the same coupon, they will accept but will do 5 different transactions! It's as a courtesy because even the coupons say, reproductions not accepted but we do anyway! PS I work there, just sharing some insight- remember it's not the cashiers fault, we're just following procedure!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's one coupon per item. It won't take 20% off an item you took 40% off. The % off transaction coupons apply to sale and regular priced items, will not take off anything you used a coupon for.
We'll also accept competitors coupons BUT only on items both stores carry. Michael's and AC Moore coupons not good on fabric and Joann only merchandise.

ReplyDeleteMichaels accepts Joann coupons and vice versa. One thing I have noticed is that whenever Michaels has 25% off your entire purchase coupon (regular and sale prices), Michaels rarely has anything on sale! So basically you end up getting only 25% off regular price. So I take those 25% off Michaels coupons to Joann's instead where I can get that extra discount on their already on sale items.
